It’s time to take care of yourself.

My goal is to help patients access the psychological tools and insights needed in order to live a balanced and happy life. As a Gestalt Psychotherapist holding a Master’s Degree, I focus on the present while briefly touching on issues in the past that may be causing emotional distress, bringing the subconscious issue to the surface, guiding the patient on confronting it, and then giving them a healing path to follow. I firmly believe psychotherapy is a first and essential step to beginning a better life! While using different approaches for each person, my goal is to accompany the patient and provide the insight that may sometimes be lacking in order to have a richer and more fulfilling purpose in life. Some of the areas of my expertise are stress management, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), divorce or separation, sexual abuse, gender identity issues, and addiction.

I believe that all people have innate skills and strengths and have the potential to live rich and meaningful lives but sometimes they become immobilized in patterns and behaviors that interfere with their ability to grow. I believe psychotherapy is an important tool to help people discover their natural ability to heal, to love and to live healthy and fulfilling lives. I engage with patients from a systems perspective to explore the entirety of the person’s life and address the complex and varied realities that impact them and their families. I have a warm, non-judgmental approach that provides an opportunity to address both short and long terms goals, crisis situations, and long-term underlying issues. I work to help individuals better understand themselves, their families, and others. Grief, loss, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, adoption, divorce, and the challenges of our fast-paced and demanding lives can create uncomfortable stressors in individuals and families. My time with each patient provides an opportunity for calm reflection for those with challenging and stressful lives.

My approach to therapy is best described as integrative with a strong grounding in psychodynamic, relational, and multicultural principles. In individual therapy, my aim is to to co-construct effective strategies for everyday life beyond the therapy room. I strive to provide clients a safe space to increase awareness, derive meaning from life’s experiences, and begin to cope and overcome life's difficulties.
